Princes Park Community Garden

Last week, we hosted a free community gardening event at the Refugee Hub garden at our Princes Park site, organised by Talking English CIC. We welcomed asylum seekers, refugees, newcomers and members of the local community for a morning of outdoor activities and social connection.

Attendees spent time planting, drawing and talking together, using the garden as a shared space to build confidence and friendships. The event aimed to support wellbeing while encouraging creativity, language learning and connection through nature.

The Community Garden event formed part of Talking English’s wider work to support integration, wellbeing and participation across Liverpool’s diverse communities.
